For over 120 years, Sherman Health has served the greater Fox Valley Region’s healthcare needs as a leader in quality care. Since opening its new hospital and Randall and Big Timber Roads in December 2009, Sherman Health has obtained certification as a Primary Stroke Center, Breast Center and Chest Pain Center, and also received a 2011 Silver Award from Illinois Performance Excellence (ILPEX). Sherman also opened the Center for Advanced Liver and Pancreatic Care and the Center for Cancer Care at Sherman Health.
The Center for Advanced Liver and Pancreatic Care offers progressive procedures and techniques to treat a broad range of liver and pancreatic cancers and diseases, traditionally only available in a University Setting. Since opening in early 2010, the Center for Cancer Care has been a powerful ally for patients and families touched by cancer throughout the region. The center provides comprehensive care, from prevention and detection to diagnostics treatment, research and beyond and boasts advanced services, including radiation oncology delivered by University of Chicago Medical Center physicians and staff.
Named the fifth most beautiful hospital in the U.S. by Soliant Health, the 255- bed Sherman Hospital features all private patient rooms, a 15-acre geothermal lake to heat and cool the facility, an advanced Emergency Department with separate ambulance access and a level II trauma center, a spacious Family Birthing Center with a Special Care Nursery, a Heart & Vascular Center for our experienced staff and physicians, and a bright and open design to contribute to the healing process.
Sherman also provides convenient, quality healthcare services at Sherman West Court, a skilled nursing facility, Sherman Home Care Partners and Sherman Immediate Care Centers in Algonquin, Elgin, and South Elgin.
