Chicago’s Minimum Wage Ordinance will Impact Employers Outside of Chicago!

The Chicago City Council approved The Chicago Minimum Wage Ordinance (Chicago Municipal Code §1-24), increasing the minimum wage to $13.00 per hour. In doing so, the City defined covered employees as any individual who works for at least 2 hours in any two-week period within Chicago’s geographic boundaries, INCLUDING any time spent traveling in the City.

Elgin chooses Constellation for aggregation deal

Last Wednesday night, the Elgin city council approved the city entering into a one-year contract with the Exelon company, Constellation, Inc., for providing electricity to residents and small business owners who have opted into the municipal aggregation program.
