High School Senior Scholarship Application Form

Ten $1,000 scholarships will be awarded
At the Elgin Area Chamber Foundation (EACF) and our Economic Development Group (EDG), we are committed to empowering the next generation of local leaders. To support this mission, we invite graduating high school seniors who demonstrate academic commitment, community involvement, and an interest in living and working in the Elgin area after completing their education, to apply.

To be considered, a student must:
- Be a high school senior residing in Elgin or South Elgin.
- Intend to pursue studies in an accredited 2 or 4 year college, universities, or vocational technical programs.
- Complete and submit your application electronically by 4:30 p.m. April 10, 2026.
Applicants are required to submit documentation electronically.
- A one-page essay that includes the following topics:
- The profession you wish to pursue and why.
- Where you want to practice your profession and why.
- How would you education and career contribute to the economic vitality in the Elgin area?
- A letter of recommendation.
- High School transcript.
- Your head and should photo to be used for recognition purposes only.
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must complete and submit the following application by April 10, 2026. Late submissions will not be eligible for consideration.
Important: All scholarship checks awarded must be cashed or deposited by September 30, 2026. Please ensure you process your check promptly, as no exceptions can be made and funds cannot be reissued after this date.
